Thank you to Xingdi “Cindy” of China for submitting this recipe for Chinese tea eggs!
- 1/2 cup salt
- 1/2 cup teriyaki or soy sauce
- 2 big pieces cinnamon
- pepper corns
- aniseed or star anise
- 3-4 Lipton red or black tea bags
- some pepper
- Boil eggs and all ingredients in water.
- When the eggs are fully cooked, crush the egg shells and keep cooking for 30 minutes.
- Cool down and put in the fridge.
